NHS Health Checks
NHS Health Checks are for people aged 40-74yrs old who have not already been diagnosed with Stroke, Diabetes, Heart Disease or Kidney Disease

Carers Health Checks
We are also offering Health Checks for Carers if you care for someone you are eligible for a Carers Health Check please contact the surgery for further information.
Shingles Vaccination Programme
Anyone aged 70 can have the shingles vaccine on the NHS. You become eligible for the vaccine from the first day of September after your 70th birthday.
In addition, anyone who was eligible for immunisation in the previous three years of the programme but missed out on their shingles vaccination remains eligible until their 80th birthday.
The shingles vaccine is not available on the NHS to anyone aged 80 and over because it seems to be less effective in this age group.

Pneumonia vaccination campaign
Patients aged 70 or over are offered a pneumococcal vaccination to help prevent pneumonia.
At aged 78 or over we are able to offer a booster vaccination for pneumonia.

These are important health checks to identify people at high risk of developing vascular disease.
